So happy to have a new board for Trakehner enthusiasts, especially those who specialize in breeding sporthorses! I have been breeding Trakehners for the jumping sports now for over 10yrs at our TwinGates Farm.

We own the ATA and Verband-approved Tzigane *Pb* and three broodmares - all picked specially for the excellence of their particular mare family branch in producing sport horses of superior quality. All were imported from Germany: Hennie *M*, Orania and Pr.St. Schoene Symphonie.

We think our attention to detail with the quality of these mares has paid dividends. To date we have produced 5 foals - all by our foundation stallion, Tzigane *Pb*:

From Hennie *M*
Herzmond (2004) - 1.25M Jumper Champion and winner of 6yo Jumper classes @ A and AA-rated shows
Harry Houdini (2005) - International Eventer with owner/rider Sara Mittleider. Based in Germany for the 2011 season, the pair joined Team Dibo and among other endeavors completed the CIC* in Sahrendorf and CIC** in Bad Harzburg. Returning to the US in November, they plan to do a couple of 'warm up' HT's as they build towards the CCI** at Rebecca Farm in July and likely their first Advanced HT in the fall. In addition, Sara sent a text the other day she planned to "enter Hou in some dressage shows - likely 4th level - and win some money to help w/show costs". Guess they really did spend the season in Germany last year. Laughing
Hurricane Hannah (2011) - a clone of brother Harry Houdini this mare's "bring it on" personality is ideally suited to future rider Boyd Martin (who has already told her owner he wants Hannah as soon as she's 3 so he can start her himself). Good on you, Boyd!

From Pr.St. Schoene Symphonie
Sam the Man (2005) - the first US-bred TK foal ever sold to Germany as a stallion prospect. Sam was exported as a 6mo but did not develop into a true stallion prospect. Gelded, the syndicate sold him to a family where he is the joy of their children (not being able to determine who's horse he is, he often hacks out w/them riding double!)

Sayyida (2006) - co-owned by Canadian Team Member Kyle Carter and Tennant Sport Horses, this mare is a BIG talent in an elegant but sensitive package. The best mover we've bred to date, she has taken time to settle into the more technical aspects of eventing (dressage & sj) but has been bold and brave from the beginning xc. As she moves up the levels her maturity is beginning to catch up w/her talent and in her inaugural outing @ Prelim last fall she scored 33.6 in dressage . . . despite rider Jen Carter doing the wrong movement in 2 places - earning 0's for those movements. In other words, a mid-20's score w/o those penalties. Knowing this mare as I do scores will continue to fall as she grows in strength, experience and tests become more technical. Definitely one to watch in the future.

Semper Fidelis (2009) - co-owned by TwinGates Farm and Mittleder Eventing he was approved as a breeding stallion in the fall of 2012. Snapper will make his debut in eventing March 2013. Possessed of similar movement to his sister (but much more internally 'grounded') he executes those movements with much more power - giving him elevation in his gaits already under saddle. Anticipate some 'baby stallion' moments, but those will be few as he is a much older soul than his sister. Cool

From Orania
Oskar (2012) - deceased due infected umbilical @ 9 days. This was a striking colt; Orania is in foal again for a March 2012 Taz foal - the owner, Louise Peterson is anxiously awaiting what she hopes is a filly! Smile
