At the Royal Winter Fair up in Canada, Jessica Phoenix and Abbey GS (Heling/Marchenstein) are competing in the Indoor Eventing competition.

At the Royal fair - Lindsay Beer and El Paso ore in 2nd and Jessica Phoenix and Abbey GS are in 7th! Abbey lost time because she had "so much air" - there's pretty serious prize money in this event - I *think* I read $25,000!!!!!

Laurie Lanpher and Anniko - 14th after dressage, they have unusual penalties in stadium to stay in 14th - they finish in 11th after a double clear xc

Kelli Temple and Aleta NSF - 8th after dressage, a double clear xc sees them move up to 7th - they finish in 5th after a double clear in stadium

Lindsay Beer and El Paso finished 4th at the Royal Fair Indoor Eventing, not sure where Abbey and Jessica finished

Congratulations Trakehners!

Just wanted to say a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Laurie L - she did her XC with a broken hand, her mare spooked during warm up and she jammed her pinky into the mare's neck. She said that she knew she had about 20 mins before she wouldn't be able to use that hand so she went full tilt for a double clear XC. THAT is an eventer my friends LOL. (and yes, she went to the ER after her ride and confirmed that she broke bones in her palm/hand from that incident).

And XC was FIERCE for sure - took out a lot of horses/riders (literally). SJ wasn't much better and the scoring was pretty tight (just a bout a rail or two separated 3'rd - 15th).
