Point of correction; Poplar has CIC's not CCI's (they get confused a lot, even Hawley Bennett misspoke in an article, and she's run Rolex, Burghley, Badminton, etc.).  Basically a CIC is an International HORSE TRIAL where a CCI is a THREE DAY EVENT  Specific points of difference below:

CIC's
* Can be run over one, two or 3 days
* Only 1 required inspection
* Show jumping can come before cross country
* xc is generally no longer than a regular HT (Poplar CIC1*= 2840 m @ 520 mpm, Poplar Prelim = 2880 m @ 520 mpm)


CCI's
* Must be run over 3 days
* Multiple inspections
* Cross country must come after dressage but before stadium
* The cross country is longer than CIC (Galway CCI* = 3900 m @ 520 mpm, Galway Prelim =2800 m @ 520 mpm)

Nevertheless, CIC's are FEI HT's, so GO GETTUM tomorrow TK'S!
