HELP ID this horse!

Hi,
My name is Jessica Fowler, I work with an organization called Forgotten Horses Rescue, Inc. that attends horse auctions in Southern California to help save horses from going to slaughter. Last night we purchased a lovely 8-10 year old mare for $35. Upon consulting with a vet and a friend or ours who owns Trakehners, they suggested she may be a Trakehner. We are a 501c3 pending organization and we were wondering if the ATA would be willing to donate a DNA typing kit to see if we can identify this girl and perhaps how she ended up in an auction, at the risk of being sold for slaughter.
